Islamic Center of Charlotte Financial Assistance Policy
The Islamic Center of Charlotte (ICC) is committed to supporting individuals and families in need within our community, in accordance with the Islamic principles of compassion, brotherhood, and care for the less fortunate. Our Financial Assistance Program exists to provide temporary, one-time relief to those facing genuine hardship.
How to Apply
To request financial assistance, fill out the form below and a member of our team will reach out to you as soon as they can.
Required Documentation
To be considered for assistance, applicants must submit the following:
- A valid, government-issued photo ID
- A copy of the bill or invoice for which assistance is being requested
- Bank statements from the most recent three (3) months
Incomplete applications cannot be processed. Please ensure all documentation is submitted before your request is reviewed.
Scope of Assistance
The ICC Financial Assistance Program is designed to provide one-time support for essential needs such as utility bills, groceries, and similar urgent necessities. Please note that due to limited resources, the ICC is unable to provide assistance with rent payments or security deposits at this time.
Review Process
Once your complete application and documentation have been received, our team will review your request in a timely manner and contact you regarding the outcome. All information shared with the ICC is treated with the utmost confidentiality and dignity. Please understand that we are assuming truthfulness as the default. If there are contradictions or if there is insufficient documentation, that will negatively affect the chances for approval.
Collection of Aid & In-Person Verification
If you have been approved you will be notified by our team. Upon approval, you will be asked to show up in-person to collect. We require those who have been approved to show up in person to collect their funds. Bring with you government issued ID. In the event of dire necessity we are able to aid with transportation, if the situation calls for it.
