Eid Mubarak

Assalamu Alaikum Brothers and Sisters,

EID MUBARAK!

The day of Eid is tomorrow Friday September 10.

May Allah Accept our prayers and devotion in Ramadan. We hope everyone is looking forward to a joyful and blessed EID celebration.

The EID prayer will be at The Park (formerly Charlotte Merchandise Mart off of E. Independence Blvd.):

800 Briar Creek Road Charlotte, NC 28205. The Takbeerat will start at 9 AM. Please bring you own rugs, and there is a parking fee of $10.

As for Jumua prayer tomorrow, ICC will have only one prayer at 1pm.

Please be aware that there is a protest that might be held at the prayers by an anti-Muslim group that seeks publicity. This group protested at the ISGC in July and wants to aggravate, frustrate, and enrage Muslims with their petulant and hateful message. They cannot enter the hall or parking lot of the EID event. They can only be outside the premises by the sidewalk, but they will try to project their hateful message via microphone, signs or loudspeakers. Extra police and law-enforcement presence will be on hand to prevent any security breaches.

WHAT WE NEED TO DO:

• BE CALM AND DO NOT REACT to their incitement!

• THEY ARE SEEKING ATTENTION AND PUBLICITY; DO NOT GIVE IT TO THEM!

• FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS AND HEED DIRECTIONS OF THE MUSLIM LEADERSHIP on-site and the inter-masajid security team assembled.

• Report any suspicious activity to the security team, and if not present to 911.

• Be mindful that this is a joyful time and happy time for us to celebrate our God-given holiday after a month of fasting,

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO COUNTER THEIR PROTEST or have a dialogue with this group as this would be futile.

· The Charlotte Islamic Academy is looking for elementary school teachers, qualified individuals should contact Br. Haitham.

· Sh. Bssam's classes tonight are :"Signs of the Hour" before Maghreb and "Tafseer" after Maghreb.

· Sheikh Abdidahir's class is Saturday after Maghreb: "Hadeeth"

· Sundays after Fajr: Hadeeth, and after Maghreb Fiqh by Shk. Bassam.

· Please refer to Shk. Bassam’s new schedule for the spring and summer on the bulletin board which includes the rest of the lessons and the sheikh’s office hours.

· Please don’t forget to get the ICC 2010 Prayer Calendars. They are $5 each. Please buy one or two and help support the Masjid.

Together in Education (TIE)

Harris Teeter’s Together In Education (TIE) program is a fund raising program for schools (public or private- preschool through 12th grade) in communities where HT operates.

When customers purchase select Harris Teeter Brand products using their VIC card, Harris Teeter contributes a percentage of those purchase dollars to the schools of their choice.

Schools use the money as they see fit on anything from basic supplies to lab equipment or computers.

The Charlotte Islamic School (CIS) is part of the TIE program, its code is 3231. Please link your Harris Teeter card to the school's account to enable contributions to CIS every time you shop at HT.
